What is Family Faith Formation?
It is a partnership between you as a parent or guardian and your Parish St. Therese de Lisieux to form the faith of our young parishioners.
We welcome all of the children of St, Therese de Lisieux Church to enroll in Faith Formation classes beginning in 1st grade. Our new Faith Formation year will begin in August 2026, so please take a moment to review St. Therese de Lisieux Church Active Participation Parishioner status:
First Holy Communion Sacramental Preparation for Children:
Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist requires TWO consecutive years of classes. Preparation starts as early as 1st grade which we call Year 1. It incorporates classroom faith formation, a retreat and homework lessons. Preparation for children already in 5th grade and above we may be able to provide a special Sacramental Preparation Process. Confirmation Sacramental Preparation for Youth:
Confirmation Sacramental Preparation requires TWO consecutive years of Faith Formation instruction and begins as early as the 8th grade, which we call Year 1. It incorporates classroom faith formation, retreats, homework lessons and service opportunities. Family Faith Formation Classes for 3rd – 7th:
Classroom Lessons guided by Parish Catechists will be held twice monthly for 90 minutes. Students will learn more about our Catholic Faith through teaching, discussion and activities.
